Promising in-circle defender Parris Mason makes a return to Pulse colours in 2023 after spending a season honing her skills for the title-winning Central Manawa in the National Netball league. The rangy and athletic defender first made the Pulse in 2021 in her first year out of Manukura school. She slipped back to the Manawa team to continue the development of her goal defence game and regular playing time last year while also being a Pulse training partner. Mason has excelled in a number of sports, including netball, basketball and touch. She played for the NZU21 netball team in the 2020 Cadbury Series while in 2022 featured in the new national women’s basketball league Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa, where she played an impressive role for inaugural winners, the Tokomanawa Queens, from the Central region.
